Note:
iOS apps enter a deep sleep mode if they are
run in the background. While the app is running in
the background, the notifications will be stored on a
server. You will only receive a push notification when
the app is next run in the foreground.
Video recording and playback
To save video recordings on the device, insert a
Micro SD card (max. 32 GB) prior to commissioning.
Do not insert or remove the card while the device is
connected to the mains voltage. In the app, go to the
settings under Device list -> Settings -> Storage
Info. Click “Format SD card” to format the CARD.
This will delete all data stored on the card. In the app,
navigate to the Device list -> Settings -> Record
settings menu to select your desired recording
mode and recording duration. To select a recording
to playback, in the app go to the “ Device list ->
Playback” menu.

When the doorbell is rung or an alarm is triggered
(if you have enabled this feature), you receive a
notification on your smartphone’s display.

The GEV LIVE-APP must run in the background
for this feature to function. If you stop the app from
running in the background, you cannot receive any
notifications. On iOS operating systems, background
applications are forced into a deep sleep mode after
a short time to save energy.
