Assembling the sickle bar frame
Attach the sickle bar frame and the lever arm as
shown in Fig. 11 to 18. Never grease the bar of
the axle or the taper socket will not work correctly.
The taper socket must be screwed in in the
correct tightening sequence 1 to 6 for the
screws as shown in figure 16. This will
normally be needed 3 to 4 times. After
tightening screw 6, screw 1 will have
loosened again. You will need to
repeat this until screw 1 is tight, then
retighten all screws until all screws
feel tight.
To loosen the taper socket,
loosen all 6 screws and screwing 3 of
these into different bores.
