Test the Fuel Select Operation -
Ford Models
Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
The ability to select and switch between
gasoline and LPG fuels as needed is essential to
safe machine operation. A fuel selection can be
made when the engine is running or not.
Switching malfunctions and/or the failure of the
engine to start and run properly in both fuel
modes and through all idle speeds can indicate
fuel system problems that could develop into a
hazardous situation.
Note: Perform this test after checking the gasoline
and LPG fuel levels, and warming the engine to
normal operating temperature.
1 Move the fuel select switch to gasoline and then
move the engine idle control switch to foot
switch activated high idle (rabbit and foot switch
symbol).
