Installing the Battery Heater
Batteries contain sulfuric acid and can
cause severe chemical burns. Wear
protective gear when working with
batteries.

Proceed as follows to install battery heater:
1.
Remove battery (if installed). See owner’s manual
for more information.
2.

. Using a clean towel, wipe the bot-
tom of battery and battery tray (A) to remove any
dirt, oil, or other contaminants.

Install battery heater (B) by removing the protective
backing from the adhesive side and adhering to
battery tray. Connector should face the rear of the
enclosure.
4.
Inspect unit and verify if oil filter heater has already
been installed. If oil filter heater is not installed, pro-
ceed to next step. If oil filter heater has been
installed, proceed as follows:
a.
Locate unused connector from previously
installed Y-harness.
b.
Route unused connector to battery heater.
c.
Plug unused connector of Y-harness into bat-
tery heater connector.
d.
Install battery. See owner’s manual for more
information.
e.
Proceed to
5.
. Plug connector into one of the Y-har-
ness sockets (C). If the empty Y-harness socket
(D) will not be connected to an oil filter heater, coil
the wires and secure with a plastic wire tie.
