Target group and qualification
These operating instructions address plumbers, service personnel and technical
personnel.
These operating instructions
These operating instructions include all important information concerning the use of
the HyTronic Service Handy. Read instructions before carrying out any work.
Keep instructions and provide to technical personnel if necessary.
Storage of the device
Store the device in a dry place at 5 - 40 °C. Do not place it on radiators or other
sources of heat.
Do not exert pressure on the display. Otherwise, it could be damaged.
Contact with liquids
The HyTronic Service Handy is not splashproof. If any liquid penetrates, switch off
the device immediately and take out the batteries. Store it with the battery
compartment open in a dry, warm place for at least 72 hours. Do not use it any
earlier.

Term Explanation
Control Electronics of Geberit products which can be controlled with
the HyTronic Service Handy.
Sensor The sensor is located at the control and emits infrared light.
It detects the user of a product and is visible through a dark
plastic window.
Infrared Infrared is a type of light that is invisible to humans, without
sound waves or the like.
Menu The menu appears on the display of the HyTronic Service
Handy. It includes all available menu items.
Menu item Menu items are individual items in the menu that represent a
function or value. They can be set or read.
