COMPONENT SERVICABILITY

CONTROL CONSOLE

Freezer temperature control and fresh food control air
damper is located on the front of the control console.
The freezer knob is on the left and the refrigerator
knob is on the right. The initial position should be #5
for both freezer and refrigerator compartments.

DEFROST TIMER

To remove timer
1. Remove the 5 screws in the front of the console as
shown in illustration, leave last screw on right in.
2. Remove electrical connections from timer.
3. Release two plastic latches that hold timer in
place. It isn't necessary to completely remove the
entire console/deflector assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to reassemble.

To Remove Control Console:
1. Remove 8 screws* as shown in illustration, taking
care to support the weight of the control assembly
prior to removing all the screws.
2. While supporting console, locate wiring harness
quick disconnects and remove. The harness and
ground have plastic latches on either side of the
disconnect housing and must be released to remove
the disconnects.
*NOTE: Accessing timer can be accomplished by
removing the five screws mounting the control
console to the cabinet interior. (see illustration
below) Two plastic latches hold the timer securely in
position. Jumper hole is located on the bottom left
side of the control console, should timer need to be
advanced.
