EXECUTE TEST PROGRAM
The Test Program Manager (option D) enables the ADTS 405 to use prepared test
procedures or sequences to meet aircraft and component testing requirements. Using
this PC-based application, a test procedure can be programmed and then down-
loaded to the ADTS 405. Once down-loaded, the ADTS 405 stores the program for
future use. A test program can contain operator prompts to enter numeric values from
instruments; test results can be stored in the ADTS 405 and later printed, by a suitable
printer, through the serial output port.
A test simulator in the TPM option gives the operator a method of developing a test
program. The new test can be verified, on the PC, at up to fifty times normal speed to
reduce test time.
EXECUTING TEST PROGRAMS (without auto run)
1. Press the EXECUTE TEST PROGRAM key. This displays the first of the available test
programs. The top line shows the file name and the second and third lines show the
TITLE.
2. Use [NEXT] or [PREV] to step through the available programs until the required program
is displayed. Press [RUN] to select the program.
3. The display shows a menu allowing the following selections:
[F1] Run all tests. This starts the program from the beginning.
[F2] Run specific tests. This allows execution to start with any one of the individual
TESTS contained within the test program. Use [NEXT],
[PREV] and [SEL] as above.
4. Select [Run all tests] The display returns to the normal user display.
“TP” , in the bottom right hand corner of the display,
indicates execution of a test program.
5. Various commands prompts the operator by displaying messages on screen such as:
“Press the ETP key”.
The ETP key is the general key for moving onto the next step. The CLEAR/QUIT key
should only be used to terminate test program execution.
6. At the end of each test, the operator has a choice of continuing, exiting test program
execution or going to manual mode.
