plums). Cut very large food into pieces of appropriate size (e.g. melons, pineapp-
les).
2. Ensure that the Design Juicer Professional is assembled correctly and that there
are no objects in the feed chute. Ensure that you placed an appropriate container
(e.g. the designated juice jug) under the juice spout and the pulp container is placed
correctly under the pulp outlet. Then connect the appliance to the power supply. The
START/STOP button will be illuminated.
Note:
The START/STOP button will be illuminated for 2 minutes before fading into stand-
by mode. The light will come back on by activating any of the controls.
3. Turn the speed selector to the desired speed selection. Use the speed selector
table as a guide for juicing different fruit and vegetables (see: ‘Selecting the Speed’).
Press the START/STOP button to start the motor.
4. With the motor running, remove the pusher and place food into the feed chute.
Juice will be running out of the juice spout and the pulp will accumulate within the
pulp container.
5. Using the pusher, gently guide the food down the feed chute. Just apply the pres-
sure onto the pusher that is necessary to push down the food, thus extracting the
maximum amount of juice. Always push the pusher down slowly.
6. If you wish to juice another portion of food, first ensure that the pulp container and
juice jug can take another portion of pulp and juice. Ensure that the pulp outlet is not
clogged. If required, empty pulp container and juice jug. The pulp must fall unhin-

continuous operation (on heavy load: 1 minute) make a break and switch Off the
motor (press the START/STOP button).
7. At the latest after 7 minutes of juicing (on heavy load:: 1 minute) make a break

IMPORTANT:
Do not overfill the feed chute. Only push the pusher
down slowly with light pressure, to get the maximum amount of juice.
Additionally, do not overfill the pulp container and juice jug. The pulp may not clog
the pulp outlet, as this would affect the operation of the appliance and/or cause
damage. Empty pulp container and juice jug in time (see: ‘Emptying Juice Jug and
Pulp Container’).
IMPORTANT:
If the motor stops unexpectedly, one of the safety devices could be
active. In this case, the START/STOP button will flash red probably. Please, adhere
to the instructions in chapter ‘Properties of Your New Juicer’.
