automatic dishwasher (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
SELF-RESETTING OVERHEATING PROTECTION
The juicer is fitted with a self-resetting safety device, which safeguards against over-
heating of the motor with excessive loads. Overheating may be caused by too hard
and fibrous food, too much pressure onto the pusher, and too long periods of con-
tinuous operation. If overheating occurs, the juicer will automatically switch off the
motor. In this case, the light surrounding the START/STOP button will flash red. After
leaving the motor cool down, you can reactivate the appliance.
To reactivate the motor:
1. Switch OFF the appliance (press the START/STOP button), then unplug the juicer
from the power outlet for at least 15 minutes to allow the motor to cool.
2. Use this time to ensure that the pulp outlet and the micro-mesh of the filter basket
are not blocked (see: ‘Operation / Emptying Juice Jug and Pulp Container’). Blo-
ckage of the pulp outlet and/or filter basket may lead to overheating. Remove any
obstacles and residues of food, if necessary (see: ‘Removing Blockage’).
3. After waiting at least 15 minutes, connect the appliance to the power outlet and
use as normal.
CAUTION:
If the overheating protection is activated repeatedly, you overstrain the
motor. Do not press too hard onto the pusher while juicing. Overstrain may also
occur with the micro-mesh of the filter basket or the pulp outlet blocked. Additionally,
when processing very hard and fibrous ingredients, make intermediate brakes after
each 1 minute of continuous operation. This will help to lengthen the motor working
life. Please adhere to the advices given in chapter ‘Solving Problems’ and ‘Tips for
Best Results’.
ELECTRONIC PROTECTION
An electronic safety feature will automatically stop operating, if the motor is stalled.
If this occurs, the light surrounding the START/STOP button will flash red.
Possible reasons:
• Too much food is being processed at one time—process your food in smaller
amounts per batch.
• The pieces are not small enough—cut your food into smaller pieces of even size.
• You have applied too much pressure onto the pusher—push with reduced pres-
sure.
To continue juicing:
