SEEDER TRANSMISSION CASE

Each case is equipped with a safety pin which breaks (1 Fig. 27)

when the rotating of the seeder plate is forced or jams as a

result of foreign bodies entering the distributor (paper, string

etc.) Should this occur, pour the seeds out of the container,

check and clean the distributor, check the plate pegs and replace

the safety pin.

IMPORTANT! Do not use metal pins.

WARNING

! Do not over-tighten the screws holding the case (2

Fig. 27). It should be able to oscillate.

3.0.11. ROW MARKER

The row marker is a machine that traces a reference line parallel

to the tracks of the tractor on the ground.

When the tractor finishes a row and makes a U-turn, the front

wheel will align one of the front wheels with this reference line

(Fig. 28). Each time it passes, the seeder will mark a reference

line on the side opposite to the previous passage. Row-marker

arm inversion is activated by the tractor's hydraulic distributor

control.

In order to operate correctly, the flexible hose which links up

tractor and system, must be connected to a single acting

hydraulic distributor. When the system is not in use, protect the

quick coupling with its cap.

Safety measures concerning the hydraulics:

1) When the hydraulic pipes are connected to the hydraulic

system of the tractor, make sure that the hydraulic

systems of the operating machine and the tractor are

not under pressure.

2) For hydraulic-type functional connections between the

tractor and operating machine, sockets and plugs must

be marked with colours, in order to prevent errors. It

could be dangerous if they were accidently confused.

3) The hydraulic system is under high pressure; due to

the risk of accident suitable auxiliary instruments

should be used when investigating possible leakage

points.

WARNING

Never exceed the maximum admissible pressure for the

hydraulic system.

Adjusting the system.

The row-marker hydraulic system is equipped with a flow divider

(2 Fig. 29) to enable the rowarker arms to function alternately.

The speed at which the row-marker arms rise again can be

adjusted by two flow regulators (3 Fig. 29).
