3.0.10 PLANTING UNIT
In order to ensure that the seeds are all planted at a uniform
depth, a few simple adjustments should be made to the planting
unit.
- Adjust the seeding depth by changing the height of the
side wheels (1 Fig. 20) using the crank (2 Fig. 20). A
numbered scale enables all of the parts to be
adjusted to the same degree.
- To close and compact the furrow, regulate the pressure of
the tilted rear wheels by means of the crank (1 Fig. 21).
- Adjust the sod breaker (1 Fig. 22) to a height of 2-3 cm
from the ground. If the soil is compact, greater depth may
be given to the blade (1 Fig. 23), which can be adjusted
independently of the wing, in order to facilitate the
penetration of the disc coulters (2 Fig. 23).
DISABLING THE SEEDER
Switch off the tractor and remove the ignition key.
Raise the single seeder from the ground as follows:
- Hook the spring the position 1 (Fig. 24),
- Lift the seeder until it hooks on,
- Hook the spring the position 2 (Fig. 24);
- Press and hold down the sleeve (1 Fig. 26) in the direction
indicated by the arrow, push forward while turning the ring
nut (2 Fig. 26) until the iron pin comes free.
- Pull the sleeve back as far as it will go (1 Fig. 26).
- To render the drive operative again, push the sleeve forward
and lock the ring nut again against the iron pin.
