Adjusting the depth limit gap
If all the blades of the cutting links have been sharpened your chain saw is sharp but it
might not cut. A depth limit gap must therefore also always be present. The sawing parts
of the chain are the cutting links that consist of a cutting tooth and a depth limit nib. The
height gap between these two determines the sharpening depth. (figure 10).
1. Following every third sharpening action must the sharpening depth (depth limit)
must be inspected and the height must be refiled with the aid of a flat file.
2. The depth limit should stand approx. 0,65 mm behind the cutting tooth.
3. Round off the the depth limit slightly forwards following the reset.
4. The chain is wornn and must be replaced by a new saw chain if only approx. 4 mm of
the cutting tooth remain.

Service and cleaning
Before any work on the device, disconnect the mains plug
Let any work not described in these instructions be carried out by a
professional service shop. Only use original parts. Let the device cool down
before undertaking any maintenance or cleaning tasks. There is a risk of
getting burned!
Before each use, check the device for obvious defects such asloose, worn or damaged
parts, the correct positioning of the screws or other parts. Check the grinding wheel in
particular. Replaced damaged parts.
