Adjust the depth limit
1. To ensure perfect alignment pull the grinding head (no. 10 in figure 6) against the
cutting link. Set the distance using the chain locking screw (no. 6 in figure 6) in such a
way that the grinding wheel touches the cutting link. Additionally regulate the
grinding depth with the adjusting screw (no. 7 in figure 7).
2. Tighten the adjusting screw of the chain stopper (no. 2 in figure 6) --> chain saw is fixed
in place. Attention! The grinding depth should be set in such a way that the entire
blade of the cutting link is sharpened.
Sharpening
1. Tip the grinder housing to switch the device on (I to switch it on). (no. 9 in figure 7)
2. Sharpen the cuttting tooth by applying gentle pressure to the handle.
3. Turn off the device to transport the chain further (0 to switch off).
Detach the adjusting screw (no. 2) and fix the second chain link to be sharpened
(cutting tooth) with the aid of the chain stopper.
4. We recommend that you mark the first link with chalk for instance so you know when
every second link of the entire chain has been sharpened.
5. Initially sharpen the cutting teeth on one side and then adjust the sharpening to the
same degree value. Following this you can start (without having to make any
additional adjustments) to sharpen the links of the other side.
6. Following the sharpening all the cutting teeth must be of the same length and
width.
