5.5.3 TENSIONING THE TRACKS
Regularly check the tension of the tracks acting as
described below.
After bringing the machine on a firm and leveled
surface, lift the machine in safety conditions pla-
cing well stable supports under the under-trolley
frame able to support the assembly.
WARNING
VERIFICATION OF THE CORRECT TENSION OF
THE TRACKS SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT E-
VERY 8 HOURS DURING USE OF THE MACHI-
NE UNTIL THE FIRST ROUTINE MAINTENAN-
CE. LATER, THE TENSIONING OF THE TRACK
MUST BE PERFORMED DURING ANY ROUTINE
MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE.
5.5.2 TRACK ADJUSTMENT
To loosen or stretch the track, you must:
1) Remove the screws and remove the cover (1
Fig. 15) for access to the regulation.
2) Remove the stop (2 Fig. 16)
3) Adjust the nut so that the distance between it
and the spring end (points 3 and 5 Fig. 16) is 3
cm
4) With the track tensioned, load the spring by 5/6
mm
5) Remount the stop and the cover
When gravel or mud are interlocked between the
toothed wheel and the track links, remove them
before any operation on the track.
If the track tension is still insufficient after a-
djustment, the track is worn out. Contact the
dealer for repairs.
