7.1 General recommendations

  ___________________________________ 

 

 

This chapter is dedicated to maintenance which can be carried out by the personnel of the store where the unit is 

installed. Only cleaning operations as given in this chapter can be carried out by the store personnel.

 

 

Warning

! Technical maintenance and technical interventions on the unit must be carried out only by qualified and 

authorized personnel (i.e. refrigeration technicians, electricians, etc.).

 

 

Before performing any maintenance operations, switch off the unit by means of the unit’s main switch and   dis-

connect it from the main power supply line by using the disconnecting switch which is upstream of the power line.

nally, disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet

.

 

 

Before carrying out any interventions, wear the proper protection equipment (safety shoes, protective gloves and 

glasses).

 

 

Please refer to chapter “5.4 Cleaning before starting up the unit” for further information about cleaning. In particu-

lar, follow the instructions relevant to methods and substances for cleaning.

 

7.2 Scheduled maintenance calendar

The proper maintenance will guarantee the optimal functioning of the refrigerated cabinet and consequently  a reduc-

tion of energy consumption and  longer  life for the unit. Therefore, it  is essential  to carry  out the checks given  in the 

following table to guarantee the safety of both the unit and the users.
