PI-N, I, H — Pitch Rate (Normal, Idle-Up, Hovering)
The Pitch Rate may be used to adjust the rotor pitch high-end pitch angle without having
to shut off the engine. When active, you may directly input the top-end ATV percentage. This
convenient function allows you to bypass the ATV menu, whose use would require that you
move the throttle stick above its halfway position to input numbers for its top end. As you might
imagine, this is very inconvenient with the engine running as it will cause the chopper to take
off!
Inputting Pitch Rate Values
1. Get to the
PI-N
screen with the up or
down arrow keys.
2. Use
the
CURSOR
key to select the pitch
rate screen you wish to change.

(+) or (–) keys. If you wish to return to
the original 100% value, press both keys
simultaneously.
4. Repeat this procedure for the pitch rate
settings on the other rate remaining.
HV-T — Hovering Throttle
The Hovering Throttle function may be used to trim the
throttle near hover without affecting pitch. This function is
handy to make up for changes in rotor speed caused by variations
in temperature, humidity, or other conditions. Changing the
percentage in the window moves the throttle curve above or
below the straight line as shown in the figure. Its value is stored
in the model memory so that when the model is recalled, the original setting is repeated. This
function is best used with the hovering pitch function, so that more exact trimming may be
carried out.
