DRSW — Dual Rate Switch (PARA sub-function)
If this is your first computer radio, you may have never used dual rates before. Dual rates
are used because most models have different response characteristics depending on their
airspeed. Usually they respond more rapidly to control inputs at high speeds, and it is possible to
be really gentle with the controls and yet still over-control. Dual rates are used to adjust the
transmitter so that a control actuated at high speed will not cause a radical response, so they are
very useful for beginning pilots.
The T6XAs/XHs has two dual rate circuits, one each for elevator and ailerons. The
switches that activate them are located facing forwards on either side of the display on the top
front face. In Mode 1 operation, the two dual rate circuits are activated by separate switches.
The DRSW option is convenient in that it allows you to select Mode 2 operation, which
combines aileron, elevator and rudder dual rates to operate when the Aileron dual rate switch is
moved.
Combining the Dual Rate Switches
1. Press on the
MODE
buttons until the
PARA
window appears, then press the
CURSOR
button until
DRSW
appears.
2. To switch between Modes 1 and 2, press the (+) or (–)
DATA INPUT
keys. The blinking 1
(and arrow under the small 1 only) indicates Mode 1 (individual switches), and a blinking 2
along with arrows under numerals 1 and 2 indicates Mode 2 (combined switch) operation.

ACRO, HELI — Model Type Select (PARA sub-function)
This function is used to select the type of model to be programmed in the current model
memory. You may select from aircraft (
ACRO
) and helicopters (
HELI
). Note that when the
model select function is executed, the contents of that model memory are reset.
Selecting the Model Type
1. Press on the
MODE
buttons until the
PARA
window
appears, then press the
CURSOR
button until the model
type you want, either
ACR0
or
HELI
, appears. A steady
display indicates the current model type, a flashing display indicates a changed model type.
2. To select your desired model type, press both the (+) or (–)
DATA INPUT
keys
simultaneously. The word SET? appears blinking on and off in the display. If you do not
wish to reset the data, press the
CURSOR
key or a
MODE
key or return to the regular window.
