Installing a hard disk drive

Take the new hard disk drive out of its packaging.

Make the required settings (e.g. master-slave settings) on the drive.

If your computer has a compact flash board, you must set the hard disk up as a slave.

Slide the hard disk drive into the drive carrier (1).

Fasten the drive into place with the screws (2).

Installing the hard disk carrier

Fit the data and power supply connectors to the hard disk drive or to the hard disk drives.

Lift the hard disk carrier into the casing (in the direction shown by the arrow) and push it
forward until it engages.

Install the drive carrier again (see "Installing an accessible drive").

Close the casing (see "Closing the casing“).
