Upgrade and Maintenance Manual

CX2550/60/70 M4

System board and components

In case of Liquid Cooling, the VRM heat sinks need to be replaced after
replacing the system board.
(This procedure is not applied for Japan.)

Lay the tray on a soft, antistatic surface with its component side facing down.

Figure 198: Removing ten screws from the tray underside

Remove 10 screws (see red circles).

Keep the screws, because they will be used later on.

The four spacers and the two VR cooling blocks you removed from the
defective system board are now reused (see section

"Preliminary works:

server node with Liquid Cooling" on page 308

How to place thermal sheets:

Peel off one side of the protection sheet, when placing a thermal sheet
on the VR cooling block.

Peel off the other side of the protection sheet after the thermal sheet has
been placed on the VR cooling block.
