Function
Turning the unit On/Off
Using the relevant key it is possible to turn the unit off (standby) or on. The unit control
system is equipped with a memory, meaning settings will not be lost in the event the
unit is turned off or the power is disconnected. The key in question is used to activate
and deactivate the unit for brief periods.
If the unit is stopped for long periods of time, it must be deactivated by turning off
the general switch or detaching the power plug
Comfort key (automatic saver mode)
When this function is set, the unit seeks to reach the best level of comfort in the
climate controlled environment. Depending on the set temperature, the fan coil unit
automatically selects the operating mode (cooling, or heating) and the fan speed
depending on the temperature of the room.
Cooling only mode
In this mode, the unit dehumidifies and cools the environment.
The desired temperature can be set between 16 and 31 °C; if this temperature is lower
than the room temperature, after three minutes (maximum) the fan coil unit starts
and the unit begins to distribute cool air, keeping the fan active even if the set point is
reached.
Dehumidification only mode
In this mode, the unit dehumidifies the environment. The activation of this function is
therefore particularly useful in mid-seasons, namely those days (for example rainy days)
when the temperature is quite pleasant, but the excess humidity causes some degree of
discomfort. In this mode, the room temperature setting is ignored, as is the fan speed,
which always corresponds to the minimum. In this mode it is normal for the unit to
function intermittently.
Fan only mode
When this function is selected, the compressor is never activated and the unit doesn't
perform any action on the temperature or the humidity in the room. It is possible to
select the fan speed.
Heating only mode
In this mode, the unit heats the environment.
The desired temperature can be set between 16 and 31 °C, if this temperature is higher
than the room temperature, after three minutes (maximum) the fan coil unit will start
and the unit will begin to distribute heat.
Nighttime comfort key
With the unit turned on in cooling or heating mode, pressing this button allows multiple
functions to be performed designed to maximise the unit's silence, energy savings and
to regulate nighttime comfort. In this mode, the fan function is set at minimum speed.
This function should be activated immediately before going to sleep
• In cooling mode the set temperature is increased by 1 °C after one hour and by
another °C after two hours. After the second hour, the set temperature is no longer
altered and after another six hours the unit goes into standby mode.
• In heating mode the set temperature is reduced by 1 °C after one hour and by
another °C after two hours. After the second hour, the set temperature is no longer
altered and after another six hours the unit goes into standby mode.
This function is not available for dehumidification only mode, fan only mode and
automatic saver mode, and can be excluded at any time (ideally when waking) by
pressing the button again.
If the Timer function is simultaneously set, the unit will turn off when the set time
expires.
