2. Introduction 

 

2.1. Overview 

The P6F128 is a high quality, high performance and enhanced function 
mainboard that supports 64-bit Intel

®

 FC-PGA Pentium

®

 !!!/Cyrix Socket 

370 processors.  This mainboard is designed around the latest and 
fastest Intel

®

 815E/815EP chipset in a standard ATX form factor. 

 

The mainboard delivers comprehensive multimedia capabilities and 
high-performance with an integrated AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port), 
bus mastering EIDE (Enhanced IDE) controller, and concurrent PCI bus.  
The mainboard accommodates SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory 
and supports ATA33/66/100. 

 

The mainboard achieves the highest reliability by supporting ECC (Error 
Checking and Correction) memory protection, enabling the mainboard to 
achieve superior data integrity and fault-tolerance in respect to memory 
errors while running applications. 

 

The Chrontel Ch7009 DVI/TV Combo Chip is available as an option for 
the P6F128.  The Ch7009 is a display controller device that accepts a 
digital graphics input signal, and encodes and transmits data through a 
TMDS link or TV Output. 

 

In addition to superior hardware capabilities, features like bus mastering 
EIDE driver, Plug and Play, Soft-off, APM (Advanced Power 
Management), Keyboard Turn On, External Modem Ring On, Wake 
On LAN (WOL), Watchdog timer wake up, Fan Off in sleeping state 
and BIOS upgradability are provided with this platform.
