FreeFlight 2101 I/O Approach Plus GPS Navigation System
As either selector knob is rotated clockwise, the following test conditions will occur:
FLAG: TO TO flag in view
FLAG: OFF NO TO/FROM indication
FLAG: NAV NOT VISIBLE NAV Valid (flag out of view)
FLAG: GS NOT VISIBLE GS flag out of view *
ANNUNCIATOR: APR Approach annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: HLD Hold annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: MSG Message annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: WPT Waypoint Alert annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: DR Dead Reckoning annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: APR EN Approach Enable annunciator lit
ANNUNCIATOR: APR MDE Approach Mode annunciator lit
DISCRETE: TRK CHG Track Change discrete on
DISCRETE: STR VLD Steering Valid discrete valid
DISCRETE: SYN VLD Synchro Valid discrete valid
* The GS flag exists only in the test routine.
Press the key to test the synchro interfaces
3.2.3.2 Output Verification
After the CDI deflection test has been completed, press to display "FLAG: FROM" on the top line, indicating
the CDI's FROM flag should be in view. Refer to the display below.
1. Rotate the small, inner selector knob and verify synchro movement in 30° increments for
SYNCHRO #1.
2. Press and repeat the process for SYNCHRO #2.
3. Press the key and repeat the process for SYNCHRO #3.
