Note: Aircraft speed ac signal input must be accompanied by the appropriate Reference Phase input to the NPU.
In the configuration using an ARINC-565 AC linear analog signal, this Reference Phase amplitude is 11.8
Vac and normally is taken directly from the ARINC-565 ADC (or equivalent). In synchro configurations,
the Speed Reference Phase input is 26 Vac and may be taken directly from the appropriate aircraft
instrument bus, provided the phase is correct. This power should be protected by a circuit breaker or fuse
normally located in the aircraft power distribution center.
