3.2.2.7 Set GPS Antenna Height
The GPS antenna height above a reference point must be specified to correctly calculate GPS altitude. When
GPS altitude is displayed, the value will have been reduced by the antenna height offset.
Access the Installation Setup and follow these steps to set the GPS antenna height:
1. Rotate the small, inner selector knob to display GPS ANT HEIGHT, then press .
2. Use the large knob to move among the editable fields and the small knob to change the height setting.
3. Press when the correct height is entered.
3.2.2.8 Set the OAT "K" Factor
Set the Outside Air Temperature (OAT) "K" factor according to the specifications of the installed OAT probe. If
the "K" factor is unknown and accurate True Airspeed is available from another source, start with a "K" factor
of 1.0 and modify it as necessary to achieve accurate OAT and TAS on the TAS CALC page.
Access the Installation Setup and follow these steps to set the OAT "K" factor:
1. Rotate the small inner selector knob to display OAT "K" FACTOR, then press .
2. Use the large knob to move among the editable fields and the small knob to change the "K" factor for
the installed OAT probe.
3. Press when the correct "K" factor is entered.
3.2.2.9 Set Track Error Graphic
The track error indicator can be combined with the internal CDI display. When selected, the indicator appears
as the lower third of the internal CDI indicator. When not selected, the internal CDI indicator is full-size. The
factor default setting is ON.
Access the Installation Setup and follow these steps to change the setting of the TKE graphic:
1. Rotate the small, inner knob to display TRACK ERROR GRAPHIC
COMBINE TKE/CDI YES
2. Press .
3. Rotate the small knob to select YES or NO, and press when the selection is complete.
3.2.2.10 Set Display Intensity
Access the Installation Setup and follow these steps to set the key lights and night intensity levels on the display:
1. Rotate the small, inner knob to display SET DISPLAY INTENSITY
LEVEL
(ENT)
2. Press .
3. Rotate the small knob to set the backlight intensity.
4. Rotate the large, outer knob to set the brightness of the display.
5. When the light intensity is set appropriately, press .
