IMPORTANT: Avoid using a hammer or other hard materials when assembling. Some force may be required to lock pieces into place.
We suggest firm pressure or a rubber mallet to assure all tabs are locked in and secured.
The Aurora Cross Base Cover ships flat and is easy to assemble. It is specifically designed for the Cross Base with 8 pavers and
seamlessly fits over the Cross Base creating a more aesthetically pleasing look.
Once you have decided on the location of the Aurora umbrella, make sure you have an area of at least 40” in diameter for the base to rest,
then place your assembled Cross Base into position. Locate the four threaded holes on the legs at the crossing point. (This pattern can be
identified on the below drawing).
1. Clear out a space on the floor or flat surface. Lay Flat Top Panel (
A
) face down. Peel off the red strips from the 3M double-sided tape
on the underside of the Flat Top Panel (
FIGURE 1
).
2. Place the four corner extrusions (
C1-4
) underneath the panel by lining up the guide hole (
FIGURE 1-A
)
3. Pick up a Long Side Panel (
B1-4
) and line up the locking window and hook slot in the corner extrusion (
FIGURE 2
). When the side panel
is in place, you’ll notice the window slotted with the tab from the corner extrusion (
FIGURE 2-A
).
4. Repeat this process on the remaining three sides. When complete, your cover should look like (
FIGURE 3
).
NOTE:
There is a rolled edge on the side panels. Make sure this is facing the top panel and sits flush against the bead of
dampening tape. You may need to apply gentle force these panels to lock in place. We suggest using a rubber mallet or a
towel and a block of wood or a material in equal hardness.
NOTE:
Before turning over and placing on your Cross Base, be sure to double check the corner extrusions (
C1-4
) and that all
locking tabs are still in place and all side panels (
B1-4
) are flush and level against the top panel (
A
)
