ViewMAX – High Performance Down Converter   31 

 

  
 
While the pan menu is active, the PAN key will be illuminated. Press the PAN key again to exit the pan menu and 
return to the system status display.  

 

Horizontal Pan 

When the Pan Adjust Menu is displayed, turn the knob to highlight HORIZ and press SEL. The following control is 
then displayed. Turn the knob to the right to move the output image right; turn the knob left to move the output image 
left. The image will move in 0.1% increments until +/- 100% is reached. The slide bar updates to indicate the current 
pan setting. Press SEL when done to save the current pan setting; press ESC to cancel the pan changes. Pressing 
SEL or ESC will return to the Pan Adjust Menu. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Vertical Pan 

When the Pan Adjust Menu is displayed, turn the knob to highlight VERT and press SEL. The following control is then 
displayed. Turn the knob to the right to move the output image down; turn the knob left to move the output image up. 
The image will move in 0.1% increments until +/- 100% is reached. The slide bar updates to indicate the current pan 
setting. Press SEL when done to save the current pan setting; press ESC to cancel the pan changes. Pressing SEL 
or ESC will return to the Pan Adjust Menu. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Diagonal Pan 

When the Pan Adjust Menu is displayed, turn the knob to highlight Diag / to pan diagonally from lower left to upper 
right or highlight Diag \ to pan diagonally from upper left to lower right and press SEL. One of the following controls is 
then displayed depending on the diagonal pan selected. Turn the knob to the right to move the output image 
diagonally toward the right portion of the screen; turn the knob left to move the output image diagonally toward the left 
portion of the screen. The image will move in 0.1% increments until the maximum value is reached. The slide bar 
updates to indicate the current pan setting. The scale will be adjusted according to the minimum and maximum 
values available for the current conditions. Press SEL when done to save the current pan setting; press ESC to 
cancel the pan changes. Pressing SEL or ESC will return to the Pan Adjust Menu.
