10. If the alignment tool does not fit, remove it and carefully adjust engine mounts as
necessary:
a. To Adjust Engine Up or Down : Loosen locknut on mounts. Turn adjusting nuts
as necessary. Retighten locknuts.
b. To Move Engine Left or Right: Loosen trunion camping bolt on both front
mounts and move engine as necessary.
NOTE: A small amount of side-to-side adjustment can be obtained from the slots on the
engine mount pads. We strongly advise that you also use a locknut instead of a mere
regulation nut. (The kit that CMD supplies features the locknut)

d – Flat Washer (2, upper and lower)
11. Attempt to insert the alignment tool.
