Transom Preparation

IMPORTANT: Exhaust pipe and gimbal housing mating surfaces must be clean and free of nicks and
scratches, and O-ring must be properly seated in groove, or water and exhaust may leak into boat.

- Gimbal Housing Mating Surface

1. Install exhaust pipe assembly as shown, using four (4) bolts and thick lockwashers.

Torque bolts to 23 Ib-ft (31 Nm).

2. Position rear engine mount attaching hardware on inner transom plate mounts as

shown.

- Exhaust Pipe

- Bolts and Thick Lockwashers (4)

- Fiber Washers

- Double-Wound Lockwashers

- Locknuts
