Engine Installation
If your power package is equipped with a drive shaft extension, refer to the Drive Shaft
Extension Instructions.
Before proceeding to describe the installation of the engine, here are the technical
characteristics of the engine.

Description of the engine

Four-stroke Diesel Engine;
- 5 cylinders in line;
- Displacement 2387 cc;
- Bore x stroke: 82 x 90.4 mm;
- Compression Ratio: 18.45:1;
- Maximum Torque: 494 Nm at 2600 rpm for the HPEP 250 , 416 Nm at 2500 rpm for the HPEP 225 ;
- Max. Power: 184 kW at 4000 rpm for the HPEP 250 , 165 kW (225 HP) at 4200 rpm for the HPEP 225 ;
- Direct Injection with Common Rail Multijet System;
- Timing with toothed belt and camshaft in upper position;
- Forced lubrication with oil pump;
- Dry air filter.
