9.1
Safety Messages
In order to prevent personal injury and/or property damage, ensure that
decommissioning work is only carried out by qualified personnel with
appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and suitable work tools.
See Chapter 2 Safety Information.
Risk of injury due to falling loads!
Incorrect attachment of loads may cause severe injury or death.
Never lift an automated Argus Ball Valve with the lifting gear
attached only to the actuator.
Never stand under heavy load.
Risk of injury due to pressure hazards!
A pressurized Argus Ball Valve may cause severe injury or death.
Never disassemble a pressurized Argus Ball Valve from the pipeline.
Temporarily switch the Argus Ball Valve to the half-open position to
let trapped pressure escape.
Follow the procedures specified in the embedded safety messages
below closely.
Risk of injury due to hazardous fluid residues!
Hazardous fluid may cause severe injury or death.
Handle hazardous fluid residues with care.
Temporarily switch the Argus Ball Valve to the half-open position to
let hazardous fluid residues escape.
Use a vessel to collect any hazardous fluid residues and dispose of
them properly.
