Closing the sliding tarpaulin
-
Undo the elastic tieback on the side wall.
-
Release the bar from its retainer at the front of the
trailer.
-
Turn the bar anticlockwise.
Ensure that the tieback does not catch on the
vehicle.
-
Close the tarpaulin until it is extended all the way
to the rear of the vehicle.
-
Secure the tieback at the designated fastening
point on the rear panel, making sure that you
keep the tieback under tension.
(A loose rope poses a safety risk as it could catch
and injure persons when travelling on public
roads.)
-
Secure the bar, with the spring bolt, back in its
retainer.

Closing the tarpaulin
Verify that the movements of the tarpaulin are not obstructed (e.g. by loaded material
protruding over the edges of the box body).
The tarpaulin must not be used to level the loaded material. Otherwise the sliding
tarpaulin may be damaged.
The sliding tarpaulin must be fully closed when travelling on public roads. This will
prevent any of the load from falling out.
