Cause of control unit malfunction
If the control unit is not connected correctly, it can be damaged.
The following possible causes exist:
The control unit is pressurised but no line is connected to the port of the oil return line (T).
The connection couplings "P" and "T" have been swapped so that pressure from the towing
vehicle is applied directly to connection "T".
If pressure is applied to connection "T" on the control unit, it can be damaged.
6.8.5
Adjusting the grate extension
Version 1
– manual
Switch off the towing vehicle.
Carefully climb up the ladder and adjust the front
wall extension as required by turning the crank.
The length of the crank handle can be adjusted to
facilitate this process.
To do so, remove the splint and adjust the crank
handle as necessary. Secure the handle with the
splint again when finished.
Version 2
– hydraulic
The hydraulic front wall extension is integrated in
the hydraulic system of the push-off function.
When the sliding unit moves towards the rear of
the vehicle, the front wall extension folds up
automatically. When the sliding unit moves
forward again, the front wall extension folds back
down.
If the front wall extension is to remain in its
lowered position, both ball valves must be closed.
This will prevent the front wall extension from
moving when operating the sliding unit.

During push-off, there is a risk of damage to the front grate extension or any tension
cable that is used.
