6. Preparation and setup
The following steps must be performed to set up and prepare the machine:
Set up the draw gear
Establish the hydraulic and brake connections
Establish the electrical connections
Connect and secure the PTO (optional)
6.1 Draw gear
Three main variants:
Draw gear with top/bottom attachment
Hydraulically sprung draw gear with top/bottom attachment
Drawbar

Draw gear with top/bottom attachment
Objective
Adjustment of the traction bar.
The vehicle is preconfigured for top or bottom attachment by the
manufacturer.
Depending on the towing vehicle, a slight adjustment of the traction bar height may be required.
For this purpose, a hole pattern is provided on the traction bar support.
The trailer must be as horizontal as possible when coupled.

Hydraulically sprung draw gear
The draw gear can be mechanically adapted to the coupling height.
In bottom attachment position.
Procedure
Rotating the traction bar by 180° changes the trailer
height from top to bottom attachment. This variant is
also hydraulically sprung and the coupling height can
be changed by reducing or increasing the oil level in
the cylinder.

The cylinder must never be fully extended or retracted while driving.
Otherwise, the suspension function will not work.
