6.4.2
Brake system with ALB, brake force regulator
For every use (driving operation), the brake force must be set according to the
trailer load. Conditions for operation:
Compressed air brake connection (dual line brake system) on tractor
Selecting the operating mode, adjusting
the trailer load status
"
Release
" operating mode for moving the
uncoupled trailer is triggered via the trailer
release valve.
The button must be pushed in for this
purpose.
When using the trailer brake valve in
combination with a manually adjustable brake
force regulator without release position, a
trailer release valve is employed.

You must not alter the setting dimension of the automatic load-dependent brake force
regulator. The setting dimension must match the value specified on the ALB plate.
6.4.3
Brake system
– release valve
The release valve allows you to reverse the automatic
("emergency") braking that is triggered when the supply line
is disconnected.
Pressing the release valve (with the supply/brake line
detached) cancels the automatic braking of the service
brake system. When the supply line and compressed air
are reconnected, the release valve does not revert to its
normal operating position.
This must be done manually by pulling out the release
valve.
To manoeuvre the uncoupled vehicle, the release valve
must be pressed; only then is the service brake released
and the vehicle unbraked.
Once manoeuvring is completed, the release valve must be
pulled out again.
