Thermo-switch at watercooled exhaust
elbow
This thermo-swich is located at the water-
cooled exhaust elbow and monitors the
temperature of the fresh water circuit. The
switch measures at the hottest place,
because the flue gases lead from the
cylinder head into the exhaust elbow.

If the impeller pump drop out and delive-
res no more seawater, the exhaust con-
nection becomes extremely hot.

For the protection of the generator coil
there are two thermo-switches inside the
coil, which are for inserted parallel and
safety's sake independently from each
other.
