Fireplace Placement Requirements
Minimum Framing Dimensions
The 1Ó stand-offs along the front corners, the 1Ó clearance requirement around the sides and back,
and the 10-1/2" stand-offs on the top of the fireplace separate the fireplace from combustible
materials (e.g.: combustible framing members, plywood, sheetrock, paper-backed insulation). The
stand-offs may contact the framing members but no material may be placed between the stand-offs or
into the required 1Ó clearance to the sides and back

Gas line (3/8" M.P.T. or 1/2"

behind the framing opening
