4. Commissioning

Warning

Before actuating the MO:

Uncontrolled actuation of the solenoid coils can cause the
actuators to perform sudden unexpected movements
which may cause injury to human beings and damage to
property.

•

Disconnect the power supply for the solenoid coils at the
relevant connections on the VTSA valve terminal.

You will thereby avoid undesired actuation of the valve
coils.

Before switching on the power supply:

During commissioning, manual overrides that are in the
switched state can cause actuators to perform sudden
unexpected movements. These movements can cause in-
jury to persons and damage to property.

•

Make sure that all manual overrides are reset to their
initial position.

You will thereby avoid undefined switching states of the
valves.

Proceed as follows:

Warning

Before testing the valve/actuator combination:

– make sure that nobody is in the danger zone.

Note

A valve that has been switched by an electric signal cannot
be reset by the manual override. The electric signal is
dominant in this case.

•

Reset the electric signal before actuating the manual
override.
