Operating the VTSA... valve terminal with reversible valves

Note

– If reversible valves are operated together with standard

valves on the valve terminal, the reversible valves must
be operated in a separate pressure zone.

– Exception:

The combination of reversible 2x3/2-way valves
(ident. code P, Q and R) on reversible pressure regulators
(identifier R

5

) must not be operated in a separate

pressure zone. The reversible pressure regulating valves
supply pressure via duct (1) and vent the exhaust air via
ducts (3) and (5).

– The reversible 2/2-way valve with ident. code VC must

not be operated on reversible pressure regulators
(identifier R

5

). The reversible 2/2-way valve requires

excess pressure in duct (1) for the pneumatic springs.

You can operate the valve terminal VTSA... with reversible
2x3/2-way valves (ident. code P, Q and R) if the following
requirements are met.

–

The pilot exhaust air and venting air must not be
exhausted in a common duct. Duct (12) is not available
for exhausting ducted pilot exhaust and venting air, as the
reversible 2x3/2-way valves require compressed air from
duct (12) for the pneumatic spring. Valves that are con-
figured for the ducted exhaust of the pilot and venting air
can then no longer switch (see Chapter 5.4.1).

–

Valve terminal with right end plate type VABE-...RZ-...B1:
If the pressure zone next to the right end plate is supplied
with operating pressure via port (1), the valve terminal
must be operated in setting 1 or 2 of the selector plate
(see Tab. 3/2). If this pressure zone is operated reversibly,
the valve terminal may only be operated in when the
selector plate is in position 1 (see Tab. 3/2).
