Use of the Ethernet interface with Telnet streaming
The device provides the Telnet protocol for streaming for communication with a higher-order controller,
robot, or PC. This allows very comprehensive output and control options. Inspection results can be
processed further in the higher-order controller, for example, to have a robot grasp a workpiece.
Note
Support of the Telnet streaming function by the camera system must be activated
through job parameters
è
CSS software.
The Telnet streaming function outputs data without explicit request to the configured TCP channel.
Up to 10 clients can receive the data.
On the Telnet streaming channel, data are output only under the following conditions:
–
Telnet streaming function is activated.
–
Selected job includes Telnet protocol-based I/O.
–
Telnet protocol-based I/Os are configured for automatic output (streaming).
Note
With the CCS software, protocol-based I/Os can be added to a job and configured.
