14.2.2 Device data
The device parameters contain all application data (e.g. setpoints and actual values, limit values, ...)
for operating the drive system. Changes to the device data are exchanged acyclically between the IO-
Link master and EMCS-ST.
Automatic Saving of Device Data
Changes to device data are automatically saved permanently (flash memory). The flash memory is
designed for 100,000 write cycles. Frequent changes to the device data (e.g. when using the device
for positioning tasks via IO-Link) can cause damage to the device.
