You see an example for a folder
structure on an MP3 file disc.
The squares shaded grey resemble the
folders/directories. The unpainted
squares resemble MP3 tracks.
The playback sequence will be indicated
starting at (1) by numbers in
parentheses, i.e. those tracks are played
back first which are located directly on
the file disc without subdirectories.
The letters in parentheses, starting with
(a) resemble the sequence in which the
various folders/directories may be
viewed in the audio quick access.
Play lists
Given the amount of MP3 files which
may be stored on a memory card/
microdrive this file disc would quickly
cause a loss of overview.
You can generate a higher degree of
overview using the play lists.
In a play list you could combine e.g. alle
desired songs in one category (e.g. rock).
This play list may then be burned on the
CD together with the MP3 files stored in
the folders.
When reading the MP3 CD the unit will
also recognize this playlist (several as
well) and can then play back the MP3
tracks in the sequence prescribed by the
playlist.
M3U and PLS play lists are supported
by the Infotainment.
Creating play lists
The software WINAMP available free
of charge was employed in our trials for
creating play lists. However, other
software for creating playlists may also
be used.
The unit will support play list formats
M3U and PLS.
You may obtain additional information
on creating play lists on the internet.
