Messages on the multi-function display
The symbol color defines the priority:
Green
: normal conditions of use
Red
: when a fault has been detected
Amber
: when the driver is requested to
check the system.
The following symbols will appear to
identify each wheel, the ‘solid’ square
indicating the tire involved:
•
FL
front left-hand wheel
•
RL
rear left-hand wheel
•
RR
rear right-hand wheel
•
FR
front right-hand wheel
Pressure indication for each tire
It can be activated by pressing
MODE
button (see
page 45
)
on the multi-function display to
view the pressure of each tire.
If requested when the data is not available,
(e.g., during the calibration procedure) the
symbols will be shown with
–.–
instead of
the value.
Tire pressure check request without
indication of the wheel
Activated for a few seconds
after the engine has started. It
indicates a drop in pressure with
respect to the last value stored.
The system ignores which tire is involved
since it has not yet identified the position.
Check the pressure of all the tires.
Tire pressure check request
Illuminated for a few seconds
after the engine has started,
but unlike before, the system
indicates which wheel is
signaling the fault.
Check the pressure of the tire indicated.
Puncture without wheel indication
Illuminated when a puncture
occurs, ignoring the tire involved
since the system is not yet
calibrated. It remains on until the
ignition key is turned to position
0
.
Follow the instructions in the section
“Replacing the wheels” on
page 100
when
only one tire has a puncture.
Puncture with wheel indication
Illuminated when a puncture
occurs, indicating the tire involved.
It remains on until the ignition key
is turned to position
0
.
Follow the instructions in the section
“Replacing the wheels” on
page 100
when
only one tire has a puncture.
System calibration request
Illuminated for a few seconds
after turning the ignition key
to position
II
to signal that the
system is not calibrated.
Adjust the tire pressure and calibrate the
system (see
page 145
).
Confirming the calibration procedure
With the ignition key in position
II
(without starting the engine)
the warning light illuminates
after pressing the calibration
button for about 5 seconds.
The warning light goes off when the engine
has started.
During calibration, the tire condition may
be displayed (pressure not shown) even if
the system has already learned the position
from the sensors.
System faulty
The system does not respond or
is defective.
Have the system repaired by an
Authorized
Ferrari Dealer.
System temporarily inactive
Appears when the system is
temporarily unable to function.
This may occur because of
external electromagnetic
interference or excessive sensor
temperature.
The system automatically resets once the
normal conditions are restored.
The message appears in the event of system
components replacement.
