4.3 Storing the Lift

Charge the lift battery when the lift is not in use. See

Charging the Battery,

page 18. To store the lift:

1. Remove the spreader-bar assembly.

2. Fold the legs.

3. If needed, fold the actuator and lift boom against

the mast, following Steps 1-4 of

Removing the

Lift Boom and Mast

, page 9.

4. Hang the spreader-bar assembly on the rear of

the lift (Figure 9A). Notice that a tab is attached
near the center of the spreader-bar assembly. Insert
this tab (Figure 9B) between the hangers. Also
insert the post on one end of the spreader-bar
assembly into the mount on the mast (Figure 9C).

Note: If space does not allow the lift to be stored this
way, disassemble the lift to store it (See

Disassembling

the Lift,

page 9).
