Installation and start-up instructions for BUS2 systems
Below, the installation and start-up steps are described for BUS2 systems:
1.-
Install and cable equipment.
Execute the installation and connection of equipment as indicated in the installation and cabling diagrams in this
technical manual or other technical documentation supplied with each piece of equipment.
- Equipment to be installed:
- Panels
- Rec MDS/BUS2 decoder
- Panel switcher: if 2 panels or panel(s) + reception exist.
- Power supplies (size depending on the number of terminals in the system).
- Branch shunt
- Floor level distributors
- BUS2 relays
- BUS2 repeater
- Apartment terminals: telephone and monitors
All cabling is carried out with 2 wires without polarity, except the MDS reception, which requires 6 wires (4 wires +
twisted pair) from the reception to the MDS/BUS2 decoder (see cabling diagrams).
2.-
Configure outdoor entry panels.
If two outdoor entry panels exist, one of them must be configured as the main panel and the other as secondary
panel in order to differentiate between them. The panels have a configuration bridge for this (see section ‘BUS2
Panels’).
If only one outdoor entry panel exists, this should be configured as the main panel (default configuration).
3.-
Programme apartment terminals
This involves assigning each apartment terminal with a call code/button to identify and distinguish it from the other
terminals within the system.
The terminals are programmed from the outdoor entry panel which has been configured as the Main Panel, Reception
or using the ‘BUS2 system verifier’.
4.-
Configure and programme the reception
If the system has a reception, the MDS/BUS2 decoder must be programmed, which enables reception connection
in the BUS2 system (see section ‘Central Reception for the BUS2 system’):
5.-
Execute final adjustments
Execute final installation adjustaments:
- Adjust audio power in the direction apartment-street, street-apartment
- Remote camera orientation on panel
- Lock-release time, etc.
