The first aspect to be configured is the activation mode, which indicates the conditions under which the BUS2
relay will activate. This may be a command generated by a system device (telephone, monitor or panel) or via an
external contact.
External Contact:
· Relay activation:
The relay is activated following a short circuit between the ACT/EXT and GND terminals via an external
element (cable, switch ...etc).
This is an additional activation and is independent to the command-based activation. There should be
no command configured to ensure the external contact is the only activation method.
· Relay disabling:
When there is a short circuit between the DISABLE and GND terminals, the BUS2 relay is disabled. It
does not respond to external activation commands, and remains at minimum consumption levels.
To re-enable the relay open the DISABLE-GND contact.
Data command activation:
Based on the DSW2’s configuration, the device will respond to the following commands (activated via
the telephone, monitor or panel).
Only one command can be selected.

(1) The BUS2 relay is activated if the command generated by a device agrees with that configured on the
BUS2 relay.
The BUS2 relay can be configured to respond to commands from all the devices or just from certain ones. This
operating mode is configured via the DSW1.
(2) Panel relay: panel amplifier relay that generates the call.
If the “Call from Panel” command is selected and the “EXTERNAL” option on the DSW1 switch is set to ON,
the BUS2 relay and the panel relay will be activated when a call is received from the panel.
