Operating principle of BUS2 system
The BUS2 door entry/video door entry system functions like a large, single-line kit.
The call executed from the outdoor entry panel is directed via the 2-wire bus through the branch and floor distributors to
the desired terminal, creating a single path without any further branching.
Every apartment terminal (telephone/monitor) is programmed using an address which identifies it within the system and
distinguishes it from the other terminals. The addresses range from 1 to 199 (terminal programming is explained in the
corresponding section for each terminal).
* Call:
When a call is made from the outdoor entry panel to an apartment, the amplifier included in the panel generates the
corresponding call code and sends it via the bus.
The way in which the call is made and the call code generated depends on the type of entry panel:
-
Keypad panels (direct):
The call to the apartment is made by introducing the address allocated to each
apartment terminal on the numeral keypad, which also has an access control function.
- Panels with keypad and electronic directory (digital)
: The call to the apartment is made by using
the numeral keypad (which also has an access control function) to introduce the address allocated to
each apartment terminal. Alternatively, a call code is introduced (a number, generally the door number)
which, through programming the panel, is associated with a specific address.
The digital panels feature an electronic directory which can be used to search for numbers on an LCD
display and call the corresponding apartment directly by pressing the button ‘bell".
-
Button panels (city):
In the case of the button panels, each button corresponds to a particular address,
which means that a call can be made to a residence by pressing the corresponding call button.
