Preparations/concluding work

Certain maintenance tasks require prepara-

tions and concluding activities.
This includes e.g. opening and closing mainte-

nance flaps and maintenance doors as well as

securing certain components.
After this work close all maintenance flaps and

doors again and return all components to their

operating condition.

8.2.1

Opening/closing the engine hood

Shift the lever sideways.

The hood is raised by the gas springs.

To close the hood push it back into locked

position.

Articulation lock

Engaging the articulation lock

WARNING!
Danger of crushing by the articu-

lating machine!

– Do not step into the articulation

area of the machine while the

engine is running.

Move the steering to middle position and

stop the machine.

Shut down the engine, pull off the ignition

key.
