The engine fuel pre-filter -
replacement/cleaning

Place a container underneath to collect fuel that runs
out when the filter is released.

Close the fuel valve (4) by turning it to position 3.

Loosen the drain valve (4) and drain
fuel and desposits.
Turn the cup (6) to the left and release it
from the bracket.

Hold the cup carefully to prevent fuel spillage.

In the cup (6) is a red floating ring (8).

When the ring (8) floats to the surface, it shows how
much fuel needs to be drained.

Remove ring (8) from the cup (6).

Remove the filter element (1) from the bracket.

Clean the inside cup (6).

Check the O-ring of the cup. Replace it if necessary.

Place a float ring (8) inside the cup (6), and attach the
O-ring and the new filter element (1) in the cup (6).

Attach the bracket in the cup (6). Turn to the right with
a torque of 27 - 33 N m (2.8 - 3.4 kgf m).
Always tighten with your hand.

Close the drain valve (5) (Tightening torque for valve:
1,0 - 2,0 Nm (0,1 - 0,2 kgf m).

Open the fuel valve (4), prime the fuel system
and check for leaks.

The fuel should be taken to an
environment-friendly waste disposal station.
Discard filter at waste disposal site This is a
disposable filter and cannot be cleaned.
