To Program/Test 8701 Devices:
• Insert the programming plug in one end of cable
P/N 555-133891 into the red and black banana
jacks in the cable compartment in the bottom of
the 8720.
• Using the two alligator clip adaptors provided on
the programming plug, connect the other end of
cable P/N 555-133891 to the red and black wires
of the 8701 device.

*NOTE:
When programming or testing
1000/15000devices, the prong on
the same side of the programming
plug as the locating tab goes into
the black banana jack.

• Press ADDRESS. The cursor will appear under the
address number, allowing the user the option to
change the address setting by using the numerical
keypad.
• Press PROGRAM. The 8720 will prompt the user to
insert or connect a device. Once the device is
connected, the 8720 will program the address. If
the detector or device is programmed successfully,
the label printer will print the number of labels
selected at setup and and the 8720 will display the
message PROGRAMMED OK.
