19 Maintenance / Processing for Re-use
The Nebufirst
®
inhalation device is suited for domestic use in
private households and also for health institutions such as clinics
or doctor's practices.
If the Nebufirst
®
inhalation device is used in a professional
environment, all applicable regulations for accident prevention
must be followed in order to assure the employees' safety. These
regulations include an inspection concerning electrical safety, to
be effected within the scope of maintenance works by specially
trained personnel. The frequency of these maintenance works is
not given by the manufacturer. The operator himself must decide
on the inspection intervals by taking the duration, the frequency
and the mode of operation of the Nebufirst
®
inhalation device into
consideration.
In general, a hygiene-based inspection of the device must be
undertaken after every inhalation therapy. If the nebuliser is used
by more than one patient it must be cleaned and disinfected
before each change of patient. It is absolutely necessary to follow
the aforementioned cleaning and disinfection guidelines in order
to avoid any risk of infection!
Devices that are being operated solely in a domestic environment
and by one patient must only be resold or otherwise transferred
to another person on condition of a previous technical revision
(complete overhaul), a hygiene-based inspection and
maintenance works by the manufacturer Andreas Fahl
Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH or by one of his authorised
representatives. Please ensure that only procedures which are
sufficiently validated for the devices and products are used. The
same regulation applies for all general repair and maintenance
works on the device.
